Nothing screams anxiety louder than the unexpected, right?

Having routines and following them has made my life 10x easier, and, better yet, 100x less stressful. 

Now, I am not saying to leave all spontaneity at the door, but certain areas of life require a routine.

Our brains like routine, so why not give Mama what she wants?

But, if you don’t like the word routine (as it makes you sound lame) just think of it as being prepared.

You wouldn’t go out in a snowstorm without your coat and boots on, right?  So why do you go into a new week with no plan or preparation?

Having 9 simple tasks that you add to your Sunday Routine will make your week so much more enjoyable.

You’ll get to sleep in longer, eat better, and feel more relaxed. 

That sounds pretty sweet, if you ask me!

1. SHOW YOUR PLANNER SOME LOVE

What better way to start your planning filled Sunday Routine than with some planner time?

Break out your planner in the morning to go over the upcoming week.

What goals do you want to accomplish?  What appointments do you have?  To-do lists?

Don’t have a planner you love?  Fall in love with one, here.

 

Use that information to schedule out each day of the week for the upcoming week.

My favorite way to do this is with a planner that is broken into morning, afternoon, and evening for each day of the week.

That way, I can write down the exact time I need to be doing something and can easily conquer my to-do lists and also see when I have some spare time (to browse Instagram, duh).

Using Sundays to schedule out your week with action-packed steps and tasks that relate back to your goals will help keep you super accountable and on track to crush them.

Your future self will love you for this since all they need to do now is glance at their planner the night before to know everything that the following day entails!

No surprises here!

 

2. CLEAN & ORGANIZE YOUR FRIDGE

Before you go food shopping for the week, you’re gonna wanna clean out your fridge.

Then, get rid of any expired products and wipe down the shelves.

You can also use this time to wash and organize your storage containers that you’ll use later for all of your food prepping.  My favorite containers are these BPA-free glass containers that are microwavable safe!

3. MEAL PLAN FOR THE WEEK

Throughout the week, I do not have the time to cook.

But, I still want to eat healthily.

That’s why it is so important during your Sunday Routine to plan out your meals for the upcoming week with our meal planning printable

I always meal plan with my printable before I food shop in order to stay on track and avoid buying unhealthy things that are not budgeted for.

Is it just me or does everybody always talks about how much they despise going to the grocery store?  Psh, I love it.  I find it so relaxing.  I could spend hours there (and $1,000).  #goldfish #cookies

On Sunday’s, gather up some new dinner recipes that you’d love to try throughout the week and food shop accordingly.

Don’t forget to also write down the types of healthy things you’d enjoy for breakfasts, lunches, and snacks.

Then, head to the grocery store feeling prepared with your list in hand and come home with all the delicious things that’ll make you feel full and stay healthy all week long.

 

4. FOOD PREP FOR THE WEEK

Once I have planned out my meals for the week and food shopped accordingly, it’s time to food prep!

I prep for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but only prepping for dinners would be just as great and way less time-consuming.

But I like to be super prepared, so I go big.

For breakfast, I enjoy making frozen breakfast burritos or burrito bowls, fruit and yogurt parfaits, and muffins.

This way I can grab a premade container of delicious breakfast food as I run out the door with 6 spare minutes to get to work. 😉 Thanks, future self! #selfhighfive

For lunch, I grill up some chicken or fish, cut up veggies for salads, and make mini fruit salads.  You could also prepare homemade bento boxes or sandwich wraps.

And finally, for dinner, I usually make five separate “meal in a pan” meals in those disposable trays from the dollar store and store in the fridge till it’s time to cook.

Then, just preheat your oven to 350 degrees and bake for 30-45 min and voila, a healthy home cooked meal that took none of your time and energy (on that day at least).

{My favorite way to do a “meal in a pan” is to have a meat such as chicken or fish, some veggies such as broccoli and/or squash, and sweet potatoes. Pasta dishes work great for this method as well!}

Taking the extra time to food prep during your Sunday Routine makes the rest of the week run so much more smoothly.

After a long day at work, who’s got the time to cook?

Just think of how many more home cooked meals you’d eat throughout the week if you took an hour on Sundays to prep those meals for easy cooking?

Now you can sit down with your family to a lovely, stress-free meal and bond over who’s going to get the last breadstick 😉

Food prepping is also a great way to make sure you’re eating healthily consistently because it takes away the temptation to order take-out or skip meals altogether.
When you’re lacking the time and motivation, eating healthily is quite the chore.

It’s so much easier to order a pizza when you’re too lazy to cook…but are you that lazy that you wouldn’t be able to remove some tin foil and throw a pan in the oven? I think not!

5. PLAN YOUR OUTFITS (#OOTW)

Much like our meals, having our outfits planned out for the week will make our lives soooo much easier. 

Imagine getting to sleep in for an extra 20 minutes because you know exactly what you’re going to wear.

No more running around looking for your only clean pair of dress pants in the dark every morning. 😉

So, use your Sundays to wash and fold your laundry.

Then, check the weather for the upcoming week and plan accordingly.

Invest in a clothing rack and only put your outfits of the week on it during your Sunday Routine. 

You could even make (or buy if you aren’t the crafty type) Monday-Friday labeled hangers.  #organizedAF

In the morning, grab your pants, top, shoes, and accessories off their labeled hanger and have a stress free morning, every morning.

Hooray to past self for having such awesome style.

Also, try taking this time to plan out your gym clothes for the week so you don’t have yet another excuse to avoid working out.

Below your hanging space on your clothing rack, place labeled bins for each day of the week where you can throw your gym clothes and shoes in and never miss a workout again!

6. QUICK CLEAN YOUR HOME

I don’t know about you, but with two kids, my home can become unorganized and messy in a matter of seconds.

There never fails to be dishes in the sink and toys all over the floor.

Sunday’s are a great time to do a quick, but thorough, clean up of each room in your home so you feel more organized and prepared for the upcoming week.

Go through each room and put things back in their designated spot – and if they don’t have a spot, make them one with bins from the dollar store and labels.

Kathryn has so many awesome tips on how to quickly organize every space in your home on a budget to avoid cluttered and unorganized spaces.

Then, once your space is decluttered and organized, wipe down the counters, walls, and windows, dust & vacuum.

Then ban your family entry to any room unless they sign a contract saying they won’t mess up your efforts 😉

JK.

But really.

Starting your week with a clean and organized space will make it that much easier to keep up with the cleaning throughout the week and also won’t distract you from all the other items on your to-do list.

Why waste time worrying about the laundry and the dishes all week when you have far more important things to do.

7. SPEND TIME WITH THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE

I know it seems like we’re squeezing a lot into one day, but once these things become a part of your Sunday Routine, you’ll get them done in no time.

And once you do?

Well, then it’s time to relax and spend time with the people who make you the happiest.

My family enjoys staying in our pajamas for as long as possible while eating a big ‘ol Sunday brunch 😉

If the weather is nice, maybe spend some time outside at the park or taking a hike.

And if the weather isn’t so nice?

Invest in some games that the whole family can enjoy.

Our favorites are Monopoly, Chutes and Ladders, and matching games.

Another fun activity that our little one enjoys doing is puzzles.

Weekdays can be so hectic that we sometimes forget, or just simply don’t have the time, to spend actual quality time with the people we love.

Sunday’s are a great day to fit in quality time to catch up and reconnect with the important people in your life before you lose all track of time in your busy upcoming week.

And, if you’re just in desperate need for some alone time, as I usually am, wind down the day with your pamper routine and show yourself some much-needed love.

8. PAMPER YOURSELF

Now, you just spent all day planning for the upcoming week.  It’s time to finally concentrate on you.

Go pour yourself a glass of wine (jk we’ve been sipping on that all day), slap on a face mask, and relax.

Once you have your Sunday routine down, it shouldn’t take more than a few hours and then after that?  You do you, girl.

You bust your butt all week long, you deserve at least one day a week to zone out and focus on yourself. 

Recharging our body and mind is just as important as plugging in your cell phone before bed and we’d never forget to charge our phones, would we?!?! *gasp* NEVER.

We all need to recharge, you included!

So, invest some time in yourself each Sunday to really relax and destress.

I do this with some peace and quiet, wine, a bubble bath, some face masks, and a good book.  That way I can focus on some fictional characters’ issues instead of my own for a few hours 😉

We have a busy week ahead of us, right?  But a stressful one?  Nahhhh.

9. START YOUR NIGHT TIME ROUTINE

Ah, your Sunday Routine is nearing its end and the ever so dreadful Monday morning is approaching.

But! You’re prepared AF so its ok 😉

End your Sunday night on the right foot and set the stage for the upcoming week by sticking to your night time routine.

If you practice your night time routine on Sunday’s, it will be that much easier to stick to it for the rest of the week.

After you’ve pampered the crap out of yourself, it is time to SHUT DOWN.

If you aren’t “shutting down” at leaassstt 30 minutes before bed from all electronics, you should start.

Staring at a screen up until you go to sleep will make it so much harder to fall asleep and also stay asleep.

So, make your mornings simpler by shutting down 30-60 minutes before bed to ensure a good, restful night sleep.

Use that time to review your planner, reflect on the day, read a book, stretch…the list goes on!

Find something that relaxes you and make it a part of the end of your Sunday Routine to make it easier to follow through with the routine for the rest of the week.

You’ll have a great night sleep from the beginning and also be able to sleep longer since your morning has been prepped for you already!

Something I love doing is reading about how to live a healthier and happier life and then setting goals to make those things a habit in my life.

Habits are a great way to set up automation in your life in order to live more simply.

Once your routines become a habit and you no longer have to think about them, the simpler your mornings, afternoons, and nights become in all aspects of life.

We all want to live a long, happy, and simple life, right?

Well, is there any better time to start than the present!?

12 months to a better you. Start a new habit every month to make your life better and simpler. Habits and routines make life better!

Living my life to the absolute fullest and becoming the best version of myself are two things that I focus on every single day.

We can always be improving ourselves, even if only in small aspects of our life.  Little changes add up to big changes. 

Focusing on habits that enrich your life, such as improving your mental and physical health, creating better bonds, and becoming more knowledgeable, will only make your life better.  It is naïve of people to think individuals cannot and shouldn’t change.  Nobody is perfect, so why not take conscious efforts toward improvement each and every day?

I guarantee that you can incorporate something new into your life and stick with it for twenty-one days. 

And after that?  It’ll just become a habit in your everyday routine.  You won’t even have to think about it.

Although all of our goals and aspirations are different, there are a few (twelve to be exact) habits that I feel everybody could benefit from.

These habits will make you a happier and healthier person while creating more balance and freedom in your life…At least I hope they do. 😉

At the beginning of the year, brain dump all of the things you wish to change, improve, learn, etc. in the year to come.  Then, each month, pick one of those things to hone in on and make a habit.

One new habit a month, that’s it!  Ready?

1: PLAN MORE, THINK LESS.

The best way to start new habits is to write them down, right?

And the best place to write them down?  Your planner, silly!

This way, all your habits are focused in one spot that you can easily access for accountability!

Be sure to track your habits in order to stay consistent and on track — you must practice your habits before they become instinctual and routine.

Having a cute and functional planner is a must for me!

I don’t know about you, but I am always more likely to follow through with something if I’ve written it down in my planner the night before.

I can’t have those words looming over me all day and then not do it.  Oh – and the sweet satisfaction you feel when you get to check it off!

I always feel more motivated and energized after I’ve taken the time to plan out my days.

Writing out my monthly plans, goals, and to-do lists makes it that much easier to stay on track.

Make it a habit to schedule out “planner time” each night before bed.  It is a great way to wind down from the day, reflect, and plan for tomorrow. 

Or, if you don’t have the energy to plan each night (I know I don’t), make it a habit to schedule in planner time as a part of your Sunday routine!  (This is when I do my planning for the week)  

That way, I just have to glance at my planner the night before to prepare for what’s in store for tomorrow.

Brain dump all of your “to-do’s” and then prioritize based on importance.  You can also jot down any appointments you have and fill in free time with such things as exercise and hobbies.

Trust me, you’ll wake up feeling more organized and more motivated.  So much so, that having a productive day with become the norm – every day. How awesome is that?

2: BECOME A BUDGET BOSS.

Paying attention to your budget is a great habit to introduce into your life.

Nobody enjoys wasting money; so shouldn’t you be aware of where your money is going each month?

Having a budget is so important to living a healthy and balanced life, yet I find more often than not, most people do not have a plan.  They have no idea how much money they take in each month or how much they spend each month.

This just blows. my. mind!!

Having a solid budget system in place is a must.

If you have a job and a bank account, then you need a budget. 

Start this new habit by evaluating your current budget plan and make sure that it is still working for you in the most efficient way possible.

Does budgeting each week stress you out?  Maybe it’s time for a new system. 

Or maybe you don’t have a plan at all.  Then you definitely need a new system. 

Do your research and experiment to find the best option for your lifestyle.  Find a system that works for you so you can work less.

Once you have an effective system in place, make it a habit to reevaluate your budget every six months or whenever your income or fixed expenses drastically change.

This way you always know that your money is coming and going from and to the right places.

3: SAVE, SAVE, SAVE!

Now don’t tell me that there’s not something you wish you could have. 

Something you’ve been dying to purchase.

Maybe it’s a new purse, a brand-new car, or even a house.

Regardless of what, most everybody has something that they wish they could afford to buy. 

So why not have an efficient savings plan set up that you can put into play whenever there’s something you’re looking to buy? 

Making this a habit now will benefit you loads in the future, over and over again.

Alike your budgeting system, you should also have a savings system in place that works for you and your lifestyle.

I personally recommend that you automatically deposit a certain amount of money into a savings account each pay cycle, since that is what works for my lifestyle.  This way I don’t have to think about saving — it does it automatically.

If you want to save $50, make sure you’re depositing $5 a week for ten weeks, for example.

Having a habit of implementing your savings plan will make you more accountable with your money and actually lead you to the money you need to buy that awesome new stuff.

And do you know the best part about this habit?  You literally don’t even have to think about it after your direct deposit is set up!

SO EASY!

Once you choose a plan and implement it, that’s it!  Just sit back and watch the money grow and grow and grow…and grow. (sunglasses emoji)

4: H20, MY FRIEND.

I know, I know.  Another blog post telling you to drink more water. 

Well, for good reason!

More than half of our bodies are made up of water so it’s obvious how essential it is to be replenishing your water intake each day.  But it seems that more often than not, most people are not drinking their required amount of water each day.

I know I don’t always drink the recommended 8-10 glasses of water a day.

But when I do, I 100% can tell the difference. 

There are SO many health benefits to drinking more water.  Better skin, hair, and nails, more energy, and weight loss…just to name a few.

Start this habit by purchasing a cute new water bottle and bring it everywhere.

Make it a habit to make sure your water bottle is filled up at all times so you’ll start to automatically drink more of it. 

If the water is always with you, it’ll just become instinctual to drink more throughout the day.

5: HAVE A GOOD NIGHT.

It’s so easy to head to bed totally exhausted, too tired to prepare for the day that follows.

Or take off your eyeliner, for that matter.

Making simple routine’s a habit in your life will undoubtedly make your life easier — like a night time routine.

Getting into a routine before bed will help you to destress and focus on the important things, like planning for the following day, your skin care, and focusing on yourself in order to destress.

Having a night-time routine to relax and prepare for the following day is an awesome habit to have if you want to become more productive with your time and more accountable with your goals since you’ll have so much more energy to focus on the important things!

A solid night-time routine should always start with shutting down from all electronics at leaaassst a half hour before you go to sleep.

Ugh, I know…so hard right?!

Trust me, though, it makes a world of difference.

Staring at a TV, computer, or cell phone screen right up until you go to sleep makes it so much harder to fall asleep…and stay asleep. (Don’t believe me, check out the evidence)

Getting a good night sleep is the foundation to having a productive and successful day.

Do your future self a favor and shut down!

6: GOOOOD MORNING!

There’s nothing I hate more than waking up in the morning feeling tired, disheveled, and unmotivated.

Starting your day off on the wrong foot throws off your entire day as you try to play catch up with your to-do list while drinking cup after cup of coffee.

Having a solid morning routine is just as important as a night-time one to enhance motivation and productivity throughout the day.

You ended the night before on a positive and productive note and it would be a shame to not follow-through with that productivity the next morning.

Make it a habit to wake up at a time that is right for you. A time that allows you to have a solid amount of sleep, but also gives you ample time in the morning to get your sh*t together before having to run out the door.

When I set my alarm for a time earlier than I need to be up (and actually get up), I always have a better day.

It just feels so nice to not rush around in the morning.

Giving yourself that extra time to wake up, stretch, make yourself a good breakfast, and go over the things you need to do that day will set the stage for your day to progress without stress. 

I don’t know about you, but I am boat loads more productive when I am not consumed with unorganized and stressful thoughts of all the things I need to do, but can’t remember.

Creating a morning routine and making it a habit in your life will undeniably make your life easier, less stressful, and more productive.

7: END YOUR WEEKENDS WITH A BANG.

Sunday’s are meant for pajamas and football, right?  Wrong.

They’re meant for pajamas and planning!

Are you catching on to the pattern of these habits?  I’m telling ya, taking a few minutes (ok, sometimes hours) out of my day to plan for the future has made my life so. much. easier. 

There’s nothing worse than waking up late for work, rushing around to find clean clothes, and jetting out the door without breakfast.

Cue an unsuccessful day, amiright?

Taking a small amount of time out of your Sunday to prepare for the week to come will make your week so much easier and that much more enjoyable.

On Sunday’s I love to reevaluate my goals for the month and the steps needed to accomplish those goals.

I also take the time to meal plan for the week, food prep based on my meal plan, and plan my work outfits.

This way, come Monday morning, when I wake up needing five more hours of sleep and three large cups of coffee, I can easily get dressed (in the dark), grab my breakfast, snacks, and lunch in the fridge and head out the door with time to spare.  (Cause Dunks, duh.)

 8: GET ON A SLEEP SCHEDULE.

Ah, sleep.

I would sleep twelve hours a day if I could.

Let’s just say, I am always DTN…down to nap.

This is one habit that I haven’t quite mastered yet but am working on each and every day.  It’s hard to get on a sleep schedule when your work schedule isn’t consistent and you aren’t able to go to sleep at the same time every single night….unless that time was midnight. *eye roll emoji*  But, alas, I am trying.

Because having a consistent sleep schedule is so key to functioning productively the next day. 

Our bodies are designed to do things consistently, and often function better when we do.

Download one of those cool sleep monitoring apps and figure out how many hours of sleep you require to fully replenish and reload for a new day. 

Then, based off of that number, set a bedtime and a wake-up time, and stick. to. it. 

Give your body what it wants!

Now, this doesn’t mean you have to go to bed at 9pm with your toddler, but if you’re going to bed at midnight and need eight hours of sleep, make sure you’re able to sleep in till 8:00am every day.

And if you are – I am SO jealous.

Getting a full eight hours of uninterrupted sleep a night? That’s the dream.

9: FIT IN FITNESS

Getting old is no joke, and if you don’t continue to exercise, that process is going to be a long and painful one. 

I don’t know about you, but I will come up with every excuse in the book to not exercise.

But when I actually do, man do I feel better.

There’s nothing like a refreshing walk in the morning to wake you up and get your mind going.  Or some simple yoga to relieve some stress.

Exercising benefits you in sooo many different areas of your life.  It’s a shame we don’t prioritize it better in our lives.

“But I don’t have the time to exercise” – Such a classic line.  And a valid one.  I use it often myself.

But in reality, I bet we can and should find some extra time in our day, even just thirty minutes, to fit in some form of exercise. 

Make it a habit to schedule in some form of exercise at least 3 times a week. 

Write it down in your planner so you don’t forget.

Create goals and stay on track to achieve them…because bathing suit season is always right around the corner 😉

 10: CHALLENGE YOURSELF

Just like your body needs to be exercised in order to stay fit and agile, so doesn’t your brain. 

Your brain is not unlike any other muscle in your body and needs to be used consistently to keep it operating smoothly and correctly.

Make it a habit to workout your brain daily, even just for thirty minutes. 

Grab a good book, play a board game with the family, or use brain stimulating apps on your phone.

Yes, you can use your phone to exercise your brain…just get off of twitter.

My favorite apps are StumbleUpon and any local news app that you enjoy.

StumbleUpon is great because it compiles tons of articles from a wide range of topics and allows you to browse them at random.

I am always learning new stuff from StumbleUpon, and what better way to exercise your brain than to be constantly learning new things? 

Keeping up with your local news and news from around the world is also a fantastic way to challenge yourself and your brain.

It is important to educate yourself about current events and better yet, you can help your brain at the same time!

 

11: DON’T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF.

There’s this awesome book called “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff” that every person everywhere should keep on their nightstand. 

Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff” is an entire book of short snippets to help you realize that there are more important things to life.

That often times, the things we stress about and get angry and upset about aren’t really that big of a deal.

Practicing patience, kindness, and empathy will undoubtedly make your life simpler and take the stress out of life.

Try to think of all the things that stress you out, upset you, infuriate you.

Now look to the big picture – do those things really matter all that much?  Ten years from now, twenty, or thirty years from now, will you even remember what it is that’s causing you such unwarranted stress?  Probably not.

Taking a few seconds to take a deep breath and reevaluate your situation can help you loads with your stress management.

Make it a habit to breath and think before reacting.  You’d be surprised how many things in life just really aren’t worth your energy. 

Positive energy should be goals, always.

12: FOCUS ON YOURSELF.

Now, even though we’re going to make it a habit to be more patient, kind, and understanding, it would be unrealistic to think that you’ll never feel stressed or upset again. 

Which is totally fine!

As long as you know how to manage those feelings.

Negative feelings are always temporary when you make it a habit to quickly address and resolve those feelings.

My favorite way to destress is to break out my pamper routine. 

We bust our butt’s on the daily and we deserve some US time, goddamit.

This may be difficult for some people, but your happiness is just as important as the people’s around you and you deserve a break every now and then.

Make it a habit of recognizing when you need you time and actually take that time for yourself.

It’s important to learn how to relax and de-stress so you don’t burn out.

While you’re relaxing in your bubble filled tub, wine glass in hand, really dive into your emotions and figure out what is causing your stress, anxiety and all around negative feelings.

Once you understand the root of your feelings, it’ll be that much easier to come up with a game plan to dig your way out to more positive thoughts.

 

I think we can all agree that a simpler life is a happier life.  

Who enjoys running around like a chicken with their head cut off? Not me, that’s for sure!

Making it a habit to set up routines in multiple areas of my life has helped tremendously when it comes to staying more organized and less stressed, and has increased my overall satisfaction of life.

5 Kick-Ass Planners You Need To Organize Your Entire Life

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been OBSESSED with planners. I usually own at least 3 at a time – I just can’t help myself!

Nothing beats a good planner and today I’m here to help you on your journey towards discovering the best planners and towards the best purchase you’ll make all year.

I mean, how else are you going to plan your goals AND actually accomplish them?!

Finding a good planner…one that covers all your needs…is not an easy task. Being a planner snob myself, I set my expectations high.

I’ve tried many, many…many planners and they almost always come up short.

What I need in a planner just wasn’t being met by the planners I had been purchasing.

Some were esssssspensive (#kathleenlights) and others from Target, but either way, they just didn’t get the job done.

They were either too basic or their more advanced layouts didn’t work for me in the way they were styled.

It took me years of searching, planning (or trying to) and failing, to find the best planners out there.

Like I said, my planner expectations are exceedingly high.

I need a planner that has more than your basic monthly and weekly spread.  I need financial planning, goal discovery, action plans, content creation, meal planning, and more.

I know, kind of a lot to ask of your planner, but what better way to stay organized and on track than to have all of that information in one handy place?

Thankfully for me…and you…I have not one, not two, but 5 awesome (swoon worthy) planners that meet my, and hopefully your, every need.

Heads up, though, these are not your average planners.  If you are searching for your basic monthly and weekly spread – this post may not be for you (Target, girlfrand).

These planners may seem a little pricey, but trust me, they are worth every penny.

Carry on if you want to crush your goals, stay on track with your spending and saving, never forget a birthday, plan awesome content for your business, lose that weight and so much more.

Coming in at number five is the Passion Planner.  

The name says it all – this planner is for those of you who LOVE customizing your planner with doodles, highlighting, and stickers.  The pages in this planner are very open-ended and allow you to get your creative juices flowing.

Included is a monthly spread with a to-do list, a focus and projects area for both work and personal life, weekly spreads with time slots, and blank space to fill as you see fit.

Have you ever seen a bullet journal?  This planner reminds me a lot of those with just a teeny bit more structure as it includes structured pages along with blank & grid pages to create to your heart’s desire.

The Passion Planner costs $35.00 and comes in three colors and two sizes.

Before I discovered my number one, this Day Designer was my baby.

So cute and so functional!

While not as customizable as the others I’ll mention, it still has a wide range of highly useful pages to help you stay organized and on track to crush those goals 😉

My favorite thing about this planner are the “Daily Planning Pages with scheduling from 5am to 9pm” – crazy good to stay accountable and actually DO your to-do list.

Although the Start Planner is not customizable, it has a great layout and equally awesome content.  The whole idea behind the design is to “crush those goals” and so obviously I was hooked from the beginning.

The Start Planner is a great option because it includes SO many additional pages that your normal, run-of-the-mill, planner would never include! 

I go with the ‘Hustle Daily Planner’ and love that it automatically includes so much

My favorite things about the Start Planner are the goal setting and tracking pages, the planning pages for holidays, projects, vacations, and more, the financial planning pages, and the ability to track your health and food. #pizzaemoji

Oh, and the inspirational quotes along the way to motivate you aren’t too shabby, either. 😉

Another great option, coming in at a close second, is the Erin Condren Lifeplanner.

If you haven’t been living under a rock for the last few years, I’m sure you’ve heard of Erin Condren’s planners…and for good reason.

For $70, this planner is highly customizable, and, uhm, can we talk about how cute it is?

From the cover to the coil binding, you are 100% in control. Features of this planner include your choice of cover, personalization, and coil color, the freedom to choose your perfect layout, and dashboard add-ons.  

My must have add-on is the snap-in to-do list dashboard that can be used over and over again all year long.

The Plum Planner is my favorite planner ever! With so many options, it’s difficult to not come away with your perfect planner.

The Plum Planner gives you complete control, allowing you to choose everything from

  • The size of your planner (7x9 & 8.5x11),
  • Your cover – design, monogram, date, quote, colors,
  • Your Pages – budget planning, fitness planning, note pages, to-do lists, and more,
  • Your layout (weekly, hourly, etc.),

My perfect Plum Planner has the vertical M-A-E style layout, which has its weekly spread divided into morning, afternoon, and evening.  My cover (pictured above) is in ‘Brush – Purple’ with my monogram and blog name printed on the front.

Let your creative juices flow – Plum Planner has over 70 different cover options, 17 fonts, and over 50 colors to choose from.

The best part, though, is choosing all of the inside details and extras to completely customize your planner in order to optimize your organization, productivity, and success.  The section add-on’s that I include in my planner are the budget, meal, fitness, and blog planning sections for an extra $4.50 each.  They also have add-on pages for home planning, baby planning, and wedding planning.

This planner will cost you anywhere from $32.00 to $55.00 depending on your creation, but trust me…it is worth every penny!

The ONLY downside to this planner is that it limits you to 80 pages and so you might not be able to add all of the extra pages you’d like.  This one negative is completely outweighed by all the positives, though.

I mean it stole the number one spot, didn’t it?  Get yours, here!

*HONORABLE MENTION: DAILY GREATNESS

The Dailygreatness planner is a planner solely dedicated to your business. 

This planner is great for planning your business goals and the action packed steps needed to achieve those goals.  It is a week-to-a-view style planner and includes weekly and daily spreads with areas to record your actions and plans for the following week as they relate back to your goals.

My favorite part of the planner, though, is the social media content spread.  I know many of us utilize digital social media calendars, as do we with coschedule, but I also enjoy the old fashion pen and paper kind of planning.
