The Balancing Act: How To Save While Spending

It may sound like the most contradictory question in the history of language, but, do you believe that you could save money while you spend? Likely not.
And if you asked anyone, they would also scoff at the idea and tell you not to be ridiculous.
It’s like being told that you cannot eat while losing weight: you can, as long as you eat with moderation.
The same can be said for your spending. You can spend what you need to without missing out on making savings – you just have to be smart about it.
The thing is, we live in a society that is 100% consumerist. We buy everything that we need and we want it now, not yesterday. It’s not just the necessities; we spend when we don’t even need to, we just want to.
The more money we have, the more we spend to make our existence comfortable and fulfilled. It’s why people who have more money have more things – they live to their means. And sometimes, they live beyond them with the aid of credit cards and loans. Not ideal, but that’s what people do at the moment.
We shop around for the best mortgage rates so that we can buy a house with a good price, so why wouldn’t we make sure we get the best rates with everything else?
So, if you think you can be free of a spending plan, you’d be wrong. You need a savings goal, but you have to include a plan to watch your spending to get it done right.
So, you need to figure out a way to save while you spend – and we’ve got some of the best tips to help you.
1 // BUYING IN BULK
Buying in bulk is a surefire way to save some cash while you’re spending it. The less you spend per piece the more you save as you go.
Don’t buy things you’re not planning to use, though; there is no point in spending money for the sake of spending it.
2 // BUYING USED ITEMS
If you have discovered that you need sudden or emergency dental work done, you might well be wondering how to manage it.
But there are a few ways to do so, and fortunately, you are always going to have an option open to you. You might look into getting some kind of dental insurance, for instance, or you might want to make sure that you seek any possible dental plans there might be.
In any case, it’s something to be sure of if you want to make the money work out well and keep your teeth in tact.
3 // BRING A LIST
Bring a list with you wherever you go. Once you do this, you find it easier to stick to a budget while you shop. Stick to the plan and stay within your budget, and you’ll be able to come away with less money spent.
4 // DON’T BUY NAME-BRAND
Where you can, avoid buying branded. The branded ketchup will taste the very same as the non-branded and you’ll save a few bucks while you buy.
Let go of the idea that you must buy branded to fit in – even if you believe it tastes different, you can learn to change your tastes.
Saving money while you spend is the best way to add more money to your savings pot and the best way to get you the things that you want to buy later – including a house.
